How long will it take to paint my house?

The size of your home, the number of services, and the complexity all influence how long painting your home will take. During the consultation stage, we’ll provide a rough estimate of the time our Boulder house painters will take. When we get to the scheduling phase, there will be a clear start and end date for your project. We are excellent at working with your desired schedule.

We have damage to the home, so do we need to repair that first?

It depends. We can repair some minor damage, such as filling small cracks and holes, before we paint. However, larger damage could be outside of our abilities. Structural issues are one example of work that would require a professional. If you’re unsure, contact our team , and we’ll tell you whether you should invest in home repairs first.

Can I leave my home while your crew works?

It’s entirely up to you. Some of our clients like to check in with their team to see every stage of their dream paint job. Others have busy schedules and choose to head out. Either option is fine with us. Maurer (Boulder’s most trusted high-end painting partner) also offers a vacation painting service. All you need to do is leave us the keys, and you’ll return to find your beautiful, freshly painted home!

How do I select colors?

The right colors combine personal tastes, current trends, and the style of your home. Choosing the right colors can be tough, so we offer a free consultation to all our clients. Of course, we don’t just recommend colors based on what we think looks good. We focus the consultation on you, your taste, and your reasons for painting. For example, you may love a color, but it may not be the best option for an imminent home sale.

What do I do with leftover paint?

There is a state fee that’s charged for each gallon of paint purchased in Colorado that allows you to take unused paint to any paint store for recycling. A pro tip here is to always keep at least one gallon (in the original container, and in a conditioned space) of each paint used in your home, clearly marked with where each one was used. When you choose to do a small project or touch-ups you will have what you need. Also, if you put your home on the market, the new owners will always want to have the old paint on hand for identification purposes.
