About us
You might not believe it, but I used to travel the country selling eyeglass frames to opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists. I had a successful career as the Western States sales manager for an eyewear company. I developed territories, trained sales reps, and collaborated on product development with overseas factories.
Life took a colorful turn when I became a mom to twins at 36. I found myself drawn to painting as a means to support my family. While my daughters’ father, a contractor, struggled with painting tasks, I found I had a talent and passion for the craft. I decided to take matters into my own hands. Thank goodness I did because when my twins reached the age of 2, I found myself navigating single motherhood.
Starting out, it was just me and a roller and brush. It wasn’t easy. Being a woman in a male-dominated field, I had to deal with everything from dismissive and patronizing store clerks to product failures that cost me dearly. But I’m a fighter. I’ve always been determined to excel, even if it means faking it till I make it (don’t tell anyone!).
Those early days of painting (and cleaning) rental properties on my own are a distant memory. We’ve grown steadily, year after year, even thriving during economic downturns. Now, we have six teams of amazing painters, like a big family working together. We’ve gone from those quick turnarounds on rentals to transforming multi-million dollar dream homes.
My biggest professional accomplishment? Being known as Boulder’s best. It’s an honor I wouldn’t trade for anything. Even more rewarding? Raising two incredible daughters who are carving their own paths—a pediatrician and a scientist, no less! They learned the value of hard work the hard way (hating those summer painting gigs!), and it paid off.
From taking just two vacations in 20 years to exploring the world, my journey has been full of color. And it’s not over yet. I’m here to bring your vision to life with the same dedication and perfectionism that’s driven me all this way. Let’s chat about your project!
