Bailey Hungerford is the owner of Maurer Painting, leading the next generation of Boulder’s most trusted high-end painting company. He combines a deep respect for master craftsmanship with a background in exact project management, bringing a modern and dependable approach to the trade.
While his professional journey has included leading various projects for organizations like Lockheed Martin and Johnson & Johnson, Bailey’s connection to the trade is personal. He first picked up a brush in college, painting on a ranch in his native California, an experience that gave him an appreciation for the hands-on work and real results of a job well done. That foundation, paired with his career managing important projects, led him back to the trade with a clear goal: to combine old quality with a truly smooth client experience.
At the core of Bailey’s leadership is his skill in managing complex things. As a project manager for a surgical robotics system at Johnson & Johnson, he learned to handle many moving parts and conflicting priorities, a skill he now uses to coordinate multiple high-end residential projects at once. His time in the aerospace industry at Lockheed Martin further honed this skill, embedding a commitment to exactness and steady dependability into his work ethic. For clients, this means the work is managed with careful organization and proactive communication from start to finish.
A graduate of the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Bailey has a B.S. in Industrial Technology and is EPA Lead-Safe Certified, ensuring good standards of safety on projects in older homes. His vision for Maurer Painting is clear: to build upon the nearly three-decade legacy of quality and trust established by founder Tami Maurer, preserving the company’s name for detail-oriented, high quality while improving the customer journey with modern conveniences.
Now raising his own young family in Boulder, Bailey is personally invested in the community he serves. He understands that inviting a team into your home requires much trust.
